Head Barista:
The Lead Barista is responsible for preparing quality coffee and beverages while providing friendly, efficient service to members and guests. This role supports the day-to-day operation of the café by helping organize the team, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a consistent experience during each shift.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, tea, and other café menu items.
- Provide friendly and professional service to members and guests.
- Help oversee the café during shifts and provide guidance to other baristas as needed.
- Train and support new baristas on café procedures and beverage preparation.
- Keep the café clean, organized, and well stocked throughout the day.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify the Café Manager when supplies need to be reordered.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health standards.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained according to daily procedures.
- Help maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere for members and guests.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience required.
- Leadership or senior barista experience is considered an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Barista Shifts are usually split as such:
MONDAY - FRIDAY: 7 AM - 1 PM
MONDAY - FRIDAY: 1 PM - 8:30 PM
WEEKENDS:
- SATURDAY: 10 AM - 3 PM & 9- 6 PM
- SUNDAY 9 AM- 4:30 PM
Interviews will begin week of July 27th.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
