POSITION SUMMARY:
The In-House Senior Litigation & Legal Counsel will be a dynamic and results-oriented, responsible for:
- Representing OZ Optics in Civil cases.
- Managing all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings and discovery, to pre-trial settlement and appeal
- Developing and implementing legal strategies to protect the company's interests.
- Overseeing corporate governance and ensuring adherence to corporate policies.

TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Managing Litigation and coordinating with external legal counsel as needed.
- Conducting legal research and staying updated on changes in laws that may affect the company.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents..
- Preparing paperwork for court.
- Providing legal advice and guidance to the executive team and other company departments.
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited Canadian law school.
- Admission to the bar and in good standing.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10+ years of Litigation experience is required
SKILLS:
- Excellent organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
- Strong background in Litigation, corporate law, contract law, and compliance.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
