We are seeking an experienced, professional, and highly organized Live-In Superintendent to join our residential Tenancy in Common community. This is a hands-on position responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the property while providing exceptional service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of common areas.
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance concerns.
- Provide access to contractors and service providers.
- Monitor and maintain building systems and equipment.
- Respond to resident inquiries and service requests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Navigate and respond appropriately to the fire alarm panel and follow established fire safety procedures.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining the building's Fire Safety Plan.
- Perform pool maintenance and ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and contractor work.
- Assist management with site operations and special projects as required.
- Respond to emergencies and provide after-hours support while on duty.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience as a Residential Superintendent, Building Operator, or similar role.
- Valid Pool Maintenance Certification (required).
- Working at Heights Certification (required).
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, emergency procedures, and fire safety plans.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and experience maintaining records and reports.
- Ability to oversee contractors and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Schedule
- Live-in position.
- 12 days on duty followed by 2 consecutive days off. (every other weekend)
- 24/7 emergency phone coverage required while on duty.
- Must be available to respond to building emergencies and urgent situations as required.
