Job Overview:
Civil North Consulting is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver to operate a Log Truck. Hauls are based out of Prince George and home every night. Start date is immediate for this permanent position with full time work.
Responsibilities:
- Operate log truck safely and efficiently
- Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
- Ensure that equipment is safely and securely stored
- Practice workplace safety
- Comply with provincial E-Log requirements
Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years experience as Class 1 Driver
- Must have a valid Class 5 drivers license
- Must have a valid Class 1 license
- Must be comfortable on Forest Service Roads and sometimes working alone
- Experience in a logging/construction environment or a in a similar role
- Familiar with logging/construction terms and practices
- Ability to communicate and interact both verbally and written
- A keen eye to details and good decision making
- Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner
- Ability to take and follow instruction from supervisor, adjust to changing conditions and communicate any and all needs to supervisor as well as working as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $500.00-$600.00 per day
