Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile tradesperson to join our team for a variety of commercial and light industrial projects across Northern Ontario. The ideal candidate has experience in multiple trades — including carpentry, concrete, masonry, welding, flooring, and general construction — and can adapt to different project types, from installations and restorations to renovations and repairs. This role offers hands-on, project-based work where technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a small crew are highly valued.
Independent subcontractors and small crews are welcome to apply. We work with a mix of in-house tradespeople and subcontractors depending on project scope, so this role can suit individuals looking for flexible, project-based work across a variety of commercial and industrial job sites
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute projects accurately
- Perform a wide range of construction tasks including carpentry, concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry, flooring, and tile work
- Install and repair doors, windows, siding, cabinetry, flooring, and other interior and exterior finishes
- Conduct restoration, renovation, and repair projects, including surface preparation, caulking, painting, and finishing work
- Assemble and secure structural components and fixtures using woodworking and general construction skills
- Measure, cut, and handle materials for precise project execution
- Safely lift, transport, and organize materials and equipment on site
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related fields such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, or general contracting
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, rebar installation techniques, and other relevant equipment
- Experience with flooring installation, tile laying, siding application, or cabinet installation is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding environments
- Handyman experience or background in electrical or plumbing work is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for site travel convenience
