Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our caring team at Sidney All Care Residence in Canada. In this role, you will support our residents' daily needs, ensuring they receive respectful and compassionate care that aligns with our mission of excellence in senior living.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions under supervision.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Support meal preparation and assist during mealtimes.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care.
- Document resident progress and report any concerns to the management.
- Uphold the dignity and rights of each resident at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings.
- Knowledge of dementia care and medication administration.
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic caregiving skills and familiarity with safety protocols.
- Preferred: experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Certification in healthcare or caregiving is an asset.

Education:
Experience:
- Long term care: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- BC care aid registry number (required)
- Food Safety Certification (preferred)
