Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication processes, with experience in various techniques and tools. This role involves working on diverse projects, including ductwork, structural components, and custom fabrications, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical aptitude and a passion for manufacturing to contribute to dynamic projects in a fast-paced environment. Must be apt to fix and repair a vast array of construction equipment and fabricate structural components as needed on the construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring precise and durable welds.
- Operate cutters, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Execute rigging tasks for lifting and positioning heavy components using cranes or forklifts.
- Conduct machining operations as needed to meet project requirements.
- Measure materials accurately using calipers and other precision tools; perform basic math calculations for dimensions and tolerances.
- Assemble fabricated parts according to schematics and technical instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with the installation of ductwork, structural supports, or other fabricated components on-site or in the shop.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements or safety improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding with the ability to produce high-quality welds consistently.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, assembly, and construction projects.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques, crane operation, forklift operation, and use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of plasma cutting, press brake operation, machining processes, and schematics interpretation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations.
- Experience working within manufacturing or construction environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining safety standards. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills further within the fabrication industry while contributing to high-quality manufacturing projects.
Pay: From $41.00 per hour
