We are Uploading a massive online catalog for our retail store and are seeking 1-2 highly organized, efficient Inventory & Data Entry Specialists to get our online store fully operational. Shopify Experience is mandatory. do not apply if you do not understand the shopify platform
You will be responsible for processing up to 20,000+ unique physical products, building our master inventory database in Excel, and uploading them into our live Shopify store. This is a fast-paced, highly physical, and data-driven role. You will work as a team to create an assembly-line workflow from the physical store shelves directly to the web.
This is a temporary, project-based contract position. Once the store inventory is 100% operational online, the contract concludes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excel Data Compilation: Build and clean up Excel CSV spreadsheets containing product names, variants, pricing, sku and barcodes for 15,000+ items.
- Mobile Photography: Use a smartphone camera to take clean, high-quality photos of physical items directly inside the shop.
- Shopify Catalog Management: Upload product data and attach phone photos directly into the Shopify backend via the Shopify mobile app and bulk CSV importers.
- Barcoding & Labeling: Generate, print, and physically stick barcode labels onto products, ensuring a 100% accurate match between the physical item, the spreadsheet, and Shopify.
Requirements:
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills: Must be comfortable managing large datasets, filtering, sorting, and editing mass data without breaking formats.
- Shopify Experience: Proven experience navigating the Shopify backend, specifically managing products, variants, and uploading images.
- Tech-Savvy & Fast: Extremely comfortable using smartphone apps for business efficiency and troubleshooting basic tech/hardware (like label printers).
- High Attention to Detail: Entering details for 15,000 items leaves no room for typos. Meticulous accuracy is required.
- Ability to Stand/Move: This is not just a desk job. You will be actively moving around the shop, grabbing products, taking photos, and labeling items.
Schedule:
- Day shift / Monday to Friday
- Full-time hours preferred to hit project deadlines
