We are currently seeking a dedicated, professional Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team in the Markham area. If you are highly organized, client-focused, and hold an active RIBO license, we want to hear from you.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Act as a dependable, primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of personal lines clients. Provide exceptional service regarding auto, property, and umbrella policies.
Policy Servicing & Endorsements: Process mid-term policy changes, additions, and deletions. Order abstracts (MVRs, AutoPlus), calculate premium differences, and issue binders or certificates of insurance.
Renewal Reviews: Proactively review upcoming client renewals to ensure accurate rating and adequate coverage limits. Identify coverage gaps and cross-sell or upscale comprehensive, high-value riders where appropriate.
Claims Assistance: Act as a supportive advocate for clients navigating a loss. Collect incident details, explain policy deductibles, and facilitate smooth communication between the client and the insurance carrier’s claims adjuster.
Remarketing & Underwriting: Evaluate accounts that see significant premium adjustments at renewal, and remarket them through our vast network of standard and non-standard insurance markets to secure optimal retention.
System Accuracy: Maintain highly accurate and compliant electronic client files within our Agency Management System (AMS), ensuring all documentation aligns with RIBO regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Licensing: Active RIBO License in good standing is required.
Experience: 1–3 years of personal lines insurance brokerage experience within Ontario.
Software Skills: Proficiency with industry-standard agency tools (e.g., Applied Epic or TAM) and carrier portals (e.g., Intact, Aviva, CAA, Economical). Experience with comparative raters like Compu-Quote/Applied Rating Services is an asset.
Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) underwriting landscape and auto/property rating variables.
Communication: Flawless written and verbal English skills. The ability to explain complex policy exclusions and wording in clear, plain language to clients is a must.
