Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Level 2 Abatement Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely executing asbestos and hazardous material abatement projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Responsibilities
- Perform asbestos and other hazardous material removal using specialized tools and equipment with precision and safety in mind
- Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers, cleaning areas, and ensuring proper ventilation during abatement activities
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment to carefully dismantle or modify structures as needed for abatement processes
- Follow detailed safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards
- Assist with site cleanup, waste disposal, and restoration efforts after abatement work is completed
- Conduct thorough inspections of work areas to ensure all hazardous materials are properly removed or contained
- Document work progress, safety procedures, and compliance measures meticulously for project records
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, restoration, or environmental cleanup is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with cleaning tasks, handling hand tools, power tools, and construction-related equipment
- Knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures and safety regulations is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines diligently
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor in various environments and conditions
