Overview
We are seeking a Registered or Provisionally Registered Psychologist licensed in Alberta to join our team on a part-time basis as an independent contractor. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to grow your caseload over time within a supportive practice.
Whether you are just starting out or looking to expand your practice, this role is designed to help you develop your clinical skills while feeling supported (not overwhelmed) by the demands of private practice.
This part-time position is ideal for psychologists who are balancing other commitments or are newer to the field and are looking to gradually build a private practice caseload.
Responsibilities
- Provide general assessment and psychological treatment to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions for concerns related to trauma, anxiety, and neurodivergence.
- Conduct intake assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing case conceptualization.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with caregivers, families, and other professionals as appropriate.
- Participate in consultation and team discussions as needed.
- Stay current with developments in psychology and best practices through ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the College of Alberta Psychologists, and in good standing.
- Provisional Psychologists must have an approved external supervisor.
- Demonstrated competence or emerging confidence in working with: Neurodivergent populations (e.g., ADHD, autism), PTSD and trauma-related presentations, Anxiety disorders.
- Experience working with children (5yo+).
- Competence or growing interest in providing couples and/or family therapy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build therapeutic rapport across age groups.
- Demonstrated cultural competence, including experience working with marginalized communities, racialized individuals, and diverse cultural backgrounds, with a commitment to anti-oppressive and inclusive practice.
Additional Qualifications
- Training in EMDR (or willingness to pursue training).
- Training in Play Therapy (or willingness to pursue training).
- Training in Gottman Method or EFT (or willing to pursue training).
- Experience with attachment-based, relational, and/or systems-oriented approaches.
- Interest in long-term therapeutic work and depth-oriented practice.

Pay: $117.50-$141.00 per hour
