Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our Golf Club. We aspire to be the premier public Golf Club in Edmonton and need an additional team member to help us maintain this position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This role is essential in supporting the overall operations and appearance of our premises.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of floors, carpets, windows, bathrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Up keep and cleanliness on on course Bathrooms.
- Conduct commercial cleaning tasks including trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities by inspecting and addressing any spills or hazards promptly.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and reporting larger issues to management.
- Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are well-maintained and stored properly.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards.
- Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as needed to uphold facility standards.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and facilities maintenance is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and moving supplies or equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to established procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
