Job Summary
Cal LeGrow Insurance & Financial Group is looking for a dependable, motivated Building Custodian to maintain our office building and surrounding property. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable handling everything from daily cleaning to light maintenance and seasonal outdoor upkeep. As our Building Custodian, you'll play an important role in ensuring our workplace remains clean, safe, organized, and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily office cleaning and general housekeeping
- Complete carpet cleaning as scheduled
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces, including flower boxes and pillars
- Assemble, move, and rearrange office furniture as needed
- Replace light tubes and perform minor building maintenance
- Maintain storage rooms, including organization and moving boxes
- Mow grass and maintain flower beds and outdoor spaces
- Monitor and coordinate elevator servicing and inspections
- Assist with HVAC system monitoring and maintenance coordination
- Monitor fire extinguisher inspections and servicing
- Respond to routine building issues such as leaks, air quality concerns, and minor repairs
- Coordinate snow removal contractors during the winter season
- Perform additional maintenance and facility-related duties as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous custodial, maintenance, or facilities experience is considered an asset
- General knowledge of building maintenance and basic repair work
- Ability to safely operate common maintenance equipment and tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Able to lift, move, and carry materials and furniture as required
- Valid driver's license is considered an asset
- Reliable, professional, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment
