Harvan Manufacturing is a family owned and operated business looking to expand. We have a need for someone who has experience in a manufacturing environment specifically experienced with a CNC laser and/or waterjet.
Due to the nature of our business in the defense industry we can only hire permanent Canadian Residents.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure all safety checks are complete on machines / equipment in area at beginning of shift
· Operation of 6-axis Mazak Space Gear Mark II Laser
· Operation of Omax 80X Waterjet Cutting System
· Ensure product is within tolerance and verify dimensions
· Safe handling of both raw materials, customer supplied materials, and finished products
Skills Required
· Must be able to read and understand blueprints, knowledge of GD&T would be an asset
· De-burring of parts
· Ability to use vernier/other measuring tools
· Operation of overhead crane/forklift is an asset
· Knowledge of health and safety procedures & WHIMIS
· Team player who can both work with others and independently
· Ability to be flexible and change priorities when required
· Attention to detail
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Must be neat, tidy and organized.
Completion of Secondary School required.
