We are looking to hire an additional Journeyman or a 4th Year Apprentice (or greater) with the right skills for our growing business. We are looking to hire someone who wants to grow into a leadership role coordinating / completing installations and servicing systems in a long-term manner. We are looking for someone who is extremely detail oriented and willing to put in the time and effort to get the job done right for our clients.

Job description
Duties and responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting installed electrical equipment to resolve issues for clients.
- Log site / travel time with internal systems to prepare client invoices and inspection reports.
- Willing to learn from our team about the various inverters / solar electrical equipment installed in Ontario.
- Installation of new electrical equipment per provided Single Line Diagrams / stamping drawings.
- Adhere to Ontario Electrical Code, and all safety standards.
- Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
- Working on residential and commercial roof tops as well as installing ground mounted systems
- Following layout of solar modules
- Attend training sessions on new products, methodology and safety
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with clients in a professional manner at all times
- Must be able to work with suppliers coordinating, scheduling and picking up materials required for each job.
- Contribute to day to day operations on the job site as directed
- Contribute to site safety and security
- Our candidates need to be comfortable on a variety of types of roof structures
- Ability to safely lift and carry 50lbs and over on a frequent and repetitive basis.
- Previous experience and knowledge of solar PV is considered an asset.
- Complete site checks and cleanup at conclusion of each day
- Some additional job responsibilities as required
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 309A license – Construction and Maintenance
- Will accept apprentice with suitable experience.
- Valid Ontario G Drivers License
- A minimum 1 years of experience in solar industry will be considered a strong asset but we will train the right candidate without experience
- Previous experience working on a rooftop is an asset.
- Valid drivers license and own vehicle required
- Certified working at heights training and fall arrest certification is a must and must be renewed as often as required (cost of renewal covered by DRE)
- Reading comprehension of technical documents

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour

- Solar Install or Service: 1 year (preferred)
- Registered Electrical Apprenticeship: 3 years (required)
