Staff Plus is hiring a Industrial Maintenance Lead to support our client's manufacturing facility in Oakville. This role is responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance activities, responding to equipment and facility issues, maintaining maintenance records, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Pay Rate: Starting at $25.50/hour
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all preventative maintenance is completed on schedule and report any extended downtime to management
- Respond promptly to machine, equipment, and building maintenance issues, especially those impacting safety or operations
- Maintain accurate records in the computerized maintenance tracking system
- Monitor maintenance inventory and ensure adequate stock levels
- Oversee maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely and meets quality standards
- Ensure compliance with OHSA regulations and company safety procedures
- Support environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste and air emissions requirements
- Act as a key resource for facility maintenance personnel and provide support as needed
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in building maintenance, general maintenance, or manufacturing/automotive production environments is an asset
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices and regulations
- Knowledge of environmental compliance programs and safe operating procedures
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Valid Driver's License required
