Deanne Fitzpatrick Rug Hooking Studio is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will assist customers with retail purchases, shipping services, package handling, and general store operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide product and service information
Process retail sales transactions using a point-of-sale system
Assist customers with domestic and international shipping services via different carriers (Experience with HS Codes and USA tariffs, border policies, etc. a plus.)
Pick and pack products
Ship orders using shipping software including Shipstation, UPS Worldease, Canada Post etc.
Receive, package, label, and prepare shipments for dispatch
Stock shelves and maintain merchandise displays
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
Knowledge of yarns, wool, textiles and fiber arts.
Prepare rug hooking kits
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and returns professionally
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Assist with opening and closing procedures
Other related duties as assigned
Pay: $16.75-$21.75 per hour
