Job Summary
Marshall Construction is seeking a proactive, skilled, and dependable Lead Hand Carpenter to join our growing team. This role works closely with the Foreman to prepare, set up, pour, and finish concrete foundation projects efficiently, safely, and to a high standard of quality. This is a key leadership-support position on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload construction materials including forms, rebar, and tools
- Prepare job sites for concrete foundation projects
- Set up, align, and strip concrete forms
- Cut, prep, and place rebar according to drawings
- Assist with concrete pours, including vibrating and finishing
- Support the Foreman with coordination and day-to-day site operations
- Help guide and train new or less experienced workers
- Follow all company safety policies and industry regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure project success
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of foundation construction experience (other construction experience will be considered)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required) - Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.
- Must be able to provide a clean 3 years abstract and negative drug & alcohol test
- Have a car in and out of work
- Carpentry Apprenticeship certification or education in progress is an asset.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Able to work in team and in fast-paced environment
- Safety oriented
Physical Capabilities
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads up to 45kg
- Able to work long hours in various positions and perform repetitive tasks
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions

- Willing to work out of town and out of province
- Willing to work on Saturdays

Note: Compensation and benefits will be discussed in person and are dependent on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: $25.00-$36.00 per hour
