This is much more than a recruiting position. You'll own the entire employee journey from recruitment and onboarding to reporting, communication, and supporting our growing remote workforce.
Although this position is primarily work from home, you'll remain closely connected with our leadership team and attend our Ottawa office one day each week. Working remotely comes with flexibility, trust, and accountability, and we're looking for someone who takes ownership of their role and performs at a high level.

Schedule

Saturday
8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Responsibilities:
- Source, screen, interview, and recruit top talent across Canada
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline that consistently delivers a minimum of 10 fully pre screened, qualified candidates for our weekly Tuesday virtual orientation
- Ensure every candidate has been thoroughly screened and meets our hiring standards before moving forward
- Identify candidates who are professional, coachable, reliable, ambitious, and genuinely motivated to succeed
- Focus on hiring quality rather than simply filling positions
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Manage the complete onboarding process for all new remote team members
- Prepare and distribute employment agreements, contracts, welcome packages, and onboarding documents through our internal portal
- Ensure all onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on time
- Manage employee offboarding, documentation, and account deactivation when required
Remote Team Operations
- Monitor and record daily attendance for the remote team
- Coordinate communication with candidates before, during, and after orientation
- Maintain accurate employee records and recruiting documentation
- Become proficient in our proprietary CRM and internal systems
- Learn and confidently use AI tools and modern software to improve productivity
- Support the day to day administration of our remote workforce
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and submit daily reports to management
- Create weekly recruitment and operational reports
- Track hiring metrics, onboarding progress, attendance, and recruitment performance
- Maintain consistent communication with the Remote Manager and onsite leadership team throughout the day
- Keep leadership informed of recruitment progress, operational updates, and any issues requiring attention
Training Support & Quality Control
- Support weekly virtual orientations
- Conduct feedback sessions with new hires following their first day of training
- Gather honest and constructive feedback from new hires regarding their onboarding and training experience
- Communicate trends, recommendations, and concerns to the Training Manager to continuously improve the onboarding process
- Act as the communication bridge between new hires and management throughout their onboarding experience
Training
Comprehensive paid training will be provided during your first two weeks.
Your first week will focus on learning our recruitment process, onboarding procedures, internal CRM, reporting systems, AI tools, and company workflows.
Ongoing support will always be available, but we're looking for someone who learns quickly, adapts easily, takes initiative, and can confidently manage their responsibilities independently.
