Bakers Narrows Lodge is a tourism-based business that provides guests with experiences from traditional fishing trips to adventure tourism. We cater to many different types of guests.
We are seeking upbeat and motivated applicants to fill Server/Housekeeper positions, both long term and summer employment.
Location: Bakers Narrows Lodge Restaurant
Wage: $19.00/hour + gratuities to start
Shifts: Day, evening, weekends, some holidays

Serving
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming smile and genuine hospitality when greeting/serving guests.
- Process orders with accuracy and deliver food items in a timely and proper manner.
- Properly prepare/plate certain menu items (drinks,cocktails,soup,dessert, etc.)
- Communicate and recommend menu items to guests.
- Finalize payments of both cash and card with efficiency
- Provide responsible alcohol serving to guests at all times.
- Complete all necessary cleaning duties associated with the position
- Additional job duties as required and requested by the Cooks and/or Management.
Qualifications
- Manitoba Smart Serve qualification is an asset
- Serving experience preferred but training can be provided
- Preference given to those candidates willing to work in other areas of Lodge, such as housekeeping. More hours available with multiple positions.
- Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work well with a team and provide excellent service to customers
- An energetic and positive personality
- Ability to thrive in a high pace environment and work well under pressure.
- Must work with a flexible schedule
Working Conditions
- Work on your feet for the entirety of the shift
- Constantly walking around the dining room
- Carrying trays with drinks and/or dinner plates
Housekeeping
Duties and Responsibilities
- Mopping/vacuuming cabin floors, cleaning bathrooms and refilling toiletries
- Washing and sanitizing countertops and kitchen appliances
- Changing bed linens and making beds,
- Laundry
- Collecting garbage
- Additional job duties as required and requested by Management
Skills
- Training can be provided.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team, as well as under the direction of manager.
- Attention to detail, organization and time management an asset.
- Ability to thrive in a high pace environment and work well under pressure.
- Must work with a flexible schedule.
- If you are able to work other positions, such as serving, maintenance, etc. please make note of this.
