Overview
Ye Olde Squire is looking for an experienced hospitality professional to join our front-of-house team in a dual-role position that combines serving and floor leadership responsibilities.
As a locally owned pub, we take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere for both our guests and staff. Our team is close-knit, our regulars are loyal, and our kitchen serves fresh, made-from-scratch food every day.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on with guests while also helping oversee service flow and supporting the front-of-house team during busy shifts.
Compensation
- Serving shifts paid at server minimum wage
- Floor management shifts paid at $25/hour
Schedule
- 8–9 hour shifts
- Up to 4 shifts per week
- Combination of daytime, evening, and weekend availability required
- Closed most holidays
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years experience in a restaurant environment
- Smart Serve certification required
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to stay organized and composed during busy service periods
- Comfortable assisting staff and handling guest concerns when needed
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive and friendly service to guests
- Assist with overseeing dining room operations during management shifts
- Support staff during service and help maintain efficient workflow
- Handle guest questions, concerns, and service recovery professionally
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and front-of-house standards
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth service
Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
