Summary
We are seeking an Experienced Marine Technician to join our dynamic team on Vancouver Island. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and repairing marine outboard engines, inboard outboard engines and drives, and marine vessels, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will support our mission to deliver outstanding service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of marine vessels and engines.
- Use hand tools and power tools to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose complex problems.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed.
- Follow safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment when necessary.
- Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge relevant to marine engines and systems.
- Preference will be given to those who have Mercury and/or Yamaha certifications.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Prior experience in marine or motor sports industries is a plus.
- We are willing to train but a proven history in mechanical repair and diagnosis, plus a knowledge of marine products and industry is mandatory.

Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour

Experience:
- Mechanic: 10 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Red Seal certification (preferred)
- Mercury certification (preferred)
- Yamaha Certification (preferred)
