Gemstone Lights — Permanent Exterior Architectural Lighting
Gemstone Lights is a North American market leader in permanent, app-controlled exterior lighting systems. These aren't Christmas lights — they're a premium home upgrade that stays on the home year-round and lets homeowners customize colours and patterns for any season or occasion. The product sells itself once a homeowner sees it. Average job value ranges from $3,500 to $5,000, with high-end estate installations going significantly higher. We are an authorized Gemstone Lights dealer servicing GTA and surrounding areas.
GoNano NuRoof — Nano-Coating Roof Protection
GoNano NuRoof is an industry-leading nano-technology roof treatment that extends the life of an existing roof by years, protecting against UV degradation, moisture, and biological growth. In a market where a new roof costs $10,000 to $20,000 or more, GoNano offers homeowners a fraction-of-the-cost alternative that actually works. Average job value ranges from $2,000 to $4,000, and multiple applications can be completed in a single day. We service York Region and surrounding areas.
Additional Services — Growth Opportunity
Apex also has capability in exterior home cleaning services including window cleaning and gutter and exterior house washing. These services are not yet actively marketed, but represent a real expansion opportunity for the right candidate who wants to help build something from the ground up and earn on it.

The Role
This is a field sales position for someone who knows how to hunt. You'll be working directly with homeowners, converting company-generated leads and building your own pipeline. We'll provide full product and systems training — what we need from you is the drive to get in front of people and close.
We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates. Part-time applicants should have genuine availability of at least 15-20 hours per week, including flexibility for site visits.

- Prospecting and self-generating your own leads for higher commission tiers
- Conducting in-home consultations and site visits with homeowners
- Presenting product options and closing deals
- Cross-selling both products where the opportunity exists
- Working our existing lead database to recover unconverted opportunities

Our Tech Stack — We Run a Modern Sales Operation
We invest in tools that make selling easier and we expect our reps to use them. Full training is provided, but comfort with technology and a willingness to adopt new tools is important.
**What we use:**
- GoHighLevel (GHL) CRM — our primary CRM for lead management, pipeline tracking, follow-up automation, and communication. You'll manage your entire pipeline here.
- VidLead — our GoNano-specific CRM platform for opportunity management and qualification workflows. Based off GHL
- Jobber — job scheduling, quoting, and customer management
- ChatGPT / AI tools — we use AI-generated after-image illustrations to show homeowners what Gemstone Lights will look like on their specific home before they buy. This is a genuine sales tool that closes deals. We also use AI for lead qualification workflows and sales support.
If you've used CRM platforms before and you're comfortable with tech, you'll adapt quickly. If you're the type who still prints MapQuest directions, this probably isn't the right fit.

Compensation
This role is 100% commission-based with strong earning potential and a draw option to get you started. Realistic annual earning potential ranges from $25,000 - $45,000 for a part-time rep to $50,000 - $100,000+ for a full-time performer above quota.. All commissions are paid on revenue.
**Base Commission:**
- Company-generated leads: 4% to 6% of revenue
- Self-generated leads: 7% to 9% of revenue
**Accelerator (above $1,000,000 in annual revenue):**
- Company-generated leads: 6% to 8%
- Self-generated leads: 9% to 11%
**Cross-Sell Bonus:**
- Close both a Gemstone Lights and GoNano job with the same homeowner at the same time and earn an additional 2.5% of the combined job value on top of your standard commission
**Stale Lead Bonus:**
- $50 for every converted lead from our existing database — through December 31, 2026
**Draw (Full-Time and Part-Time):**
- 2-month non-recoverable draw at $3,500/month to bridge your ramp-up period
- Recoverable draw available for up to 6 months after that
**Full-Time Quota:** $1,000,000 annual revenue
Part-time quotas are set individually based on your availability.

Seasonality — Know What You're Getting Into
We'll be straight with you. This business has a seasonal rhythm. Q4 (October through December) is our busiest and most lucrative period for Gemstone Lights, with up to 10 qualified leads per day flowing in. Summer is more active on the GoNano side with multiple jobs possible in a single day. Q1 is backlog-driven. If you start in July, you're hitting the ground at exactly the right time to build momentum heading into our strongest earning window.

- Proven B2C sales experience with homeowners or end users
- Background in door-to-door, canvassing, or direct sales
- Experience in roofing, exterior renovation, or home services strongly preferred
- A hunter mentality — you don't wait for the phone to ring
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
- Tech-comfortable — our operation runs on modern CRM and AI tools
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle (site visits required across York Region and GTA north)
