Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Ready Mix Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate commercial vehicles, primarily concrete mixer trucks, to deliver high-quality concrete to various construction sites. Your expertise in handling heavy equipment and understanding of construction processes will ensure timely deliveries and safe operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate concrete mixer trucks required for delivery and site support
- Load, transport, and unload concrete and related materials accurately at designated construction sites
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including delivery tickets and logs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before each shift
- Assist with on-site tasks such as concrete pumping, rebar installation, or concrete finishing as needed to support construction activities
- Communicate effectively with site managers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as ready mix trucks, loaders, or concrete pumps on construction sites
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle operation, including concrete mixer trucks
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot issues
- Familiarity with construction processes like paving, concrete forming, rebar installation, and finishing techniques
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel
