Join Our Farm Team – Post-Harvest Processor & Kitchen Assistant
Location: Our Farm & Commercial Kitchen
Pay: $20.00–$25.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 2–4 days per week, depending on the season
Do you love working with fresh, local food? Are you creative in the kitchen and enjoy turning beautiful produce into delicious, shelf-stable products? We're looking for a motivated and adaptable Post-Harvest Processor & Kitchen Assistant to join our team.
This position plays an important role in helping us reduce food waste, extend the shelf life of our harvest, and create value-added products that keep our farm stand stocked throughout the off-season.
What You'll Be Doing
No two weeks are the same! Depending on what's coming out of the field, your work may include:
- Processing fresh farm produce into value-added products
- Canning, preserving, dehydrating, freezing, and preparing seasonal foods
- Washing, sorting, and packaging produce
- Harvesting crops as needed for processing
- Assisting with product labeling and inventory
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace
- Working both in our commercial kitchen and on the farm
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has a range of kitchen or food preparation experience (commercial kitchen experience is an asset)
- Is comfortable working independently and managing tasks with minimal supervision
- Is flexible and enjoys adapting to changing crops, recipes, and seasonal priorities
- Pays close attention to detail and takes pride in producing high-quality products
- Can lift produce, stand for extended periods, and perform light physical work
- Shares a passion for local food, sustainability, and reducing food waste
