The Addiction Recovery Centre (ARC) is a voluntary medical detox program providing safe, therapeutic environment for individuals withdrawing from alcohol and other substances. We are seeking experienced, compassionate nurses to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will complete assessments, triage assessments, administer medications, monitor withdrawal symptoms, and adjust care as needed. You will provide client-centered, trauma-informed care supporting the medical, physical, and emotional needs of clients, respond to behavioral emergencies, and maintain a safe environment. Strong clinical, organizational and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage risk, de-escalate situations, and follow safety and infection control practices. You must be physically capable of providing direct care to adult patients in a medical detox unit, including standing, walking, assisting with patient mobility, and responding to medical or behavioral emergencies. Candidates must be able to safely perform the essential duties of the position in accordance with workplace safety standards.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and Recovery Alberta policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Recovery Alberta.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 - 2 years' clinical experience in acute care, mental health or addiction treatment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current NVCI. Current Connect Care experience. IV certification. Phlebotomy certification.
