We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment, including farm machinery, cranes, and industrial equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all machinery operates safely and effectively.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including but not limited to cranes, farm machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs or replacements.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they lead to equipment failure.
- Operate heavy machinery as necessary to test repairs and ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working in the shop or on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, automotive repair, and maintenance practices.
- Experience working with dealership standards is preferred.
- Familiarity with various types of machinery including cranes and farm equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in mechanics or heavy equipment operation are a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40.00-$70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
