Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to a high standard of quality, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with various construction tasks and tools is highly valued, and candidates should be committed to safety and precision throughout their work.
Duties
- Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing materials to drywall surfaces for smooth finishes
- Sand and smooth drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project requirements
- Use hand tools such as trowels, knives, sanding blocks, and taping tools to achieve desired results
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and sanders safely and effectively
- Install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to specifications
- Caulk joints and seams for a clean finish
- Assist with related tasks such as insulation installation, framing adjustments, or minor carpentry as needed
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols on-site
Experience
- Prior experience with drywall finishing or related construction work is preferred
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is beneficial
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and drywall installation techniques
- Construction experience across various trades such as carpentry, masonry, or painting is advantageous
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and schematics accurately
- Experience with related skills such as caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, welding, or concrete finishing is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic construction environment
Pay: $20.68-$30.94 per hour
