Your future role on our team
Join BBA and put your experience to work by taking an active role in all project stages as a senior design engineer in controls. You’ll help design control and protection systems for high-voltage substations and hydroelectric power plants in Canada. You’ll also take part in onsite work to ensure work quality and system compliance before energization. You’ll play a key role in managing projects, coordinating with clients and delivering quality projects with the BBA team.

- Lead proposal preparation

- Manage the technical portions of projects (design reviews, costs, schedules)
- Review a team’s engineering work for control systems at substations or power plants
- Provide coaching and mentoring to a work team

Summary of certifications and job requirements
- University degree in electrical engineering
- Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client sites
- More than 10 years of experience in control projects at Hydro-Québec
- Knowledge of E3 design software
- Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
- Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
- Asset: knowledge of protection-relay test equipment and onsite monitoring
