Distribution Supervisor (full time)

A Distribution Supervisor plays a critical role in leading and supporting a team of drivers with a hands-on leadership approach. This position requires building strong working relationships through open and respectful communication regarding performance, attendance, and behavior. The supervisor ensures that daily operations are conducted safely, in full compliance with transport regulations, company policies, and operational procedures. Responsibilities include coordinating deliveries in collaboration with Scheduling and Customer Service teams, actively monitoring safety performance, addressing risks and incidents promptly, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role demands experience in transport, distribution, or logistics environments, a solid understanding of depot workflows and delivery pressures, and a demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and professional standards.

Timely and accurate reporting on inventories, expenses, maintenance, and performance metrics will be part of your routine

You’ll provide clear leadership to meet the demands of both internal and external customers every day

Ensuring the team is fully trained and committed to safety, quality, and environmental standards is key

You’ll coordinate all quality and safety training and keep personnel records up to date

Identifying issues and leading improvement plans around processes, schedules, and training will help us work smarter

Managing equipment and vehicle issues and escalating them when needed keeps operations on track

Working with the National Distribution Team, you’ll ensure trucks are maintained and routes are optimized for maximum efficiency
What makes you great*
- You’ll need a High School Diploma or GED, and having a bachelor’s degree is a plus

Ideally, you bring over 5 years of experience managing distribution fleets or routes

Managing and developing employees for at least 2 years is something we’re looking for

Experience working or managing in a union environment would be a great advantage

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are key, along with the ability to multitask effectively

Familiarity with tools like Roadnet, Accustar, JD Edwards, Excel, and Microsoft Office will definitely help

Knowing the Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Transport Canada regulations is essential for this role
