Overview
We are seeking a skilled High Reach Forklift Operator to join our cold storage team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating high reach forklifts to manage inventory, assist with order picking, and ensure efficient warehouse operations. This role requires a willingness to work in cold environments (4 degrees to -28 degrees Celsius), attention to safety, and experience with warehouse management systems. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to accuracy and exceptional customer service. The position is full time - 40 hours per week with occasional overtime required.
Responsibilities
- Operate a high reach forklift and to move, stack, and retrieve pallets and inventory items within the cold storage
- Perform order picking using forklift equipment and ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and documentation
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and organize stock in designated storage areas
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflow and meet operational goals
Experience
- Proven experience operating high reach forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is preferred
Valid forklift certification/license is required
