Role Purpose: Own the multi-product portfolio strategy for Digital Initiatives — a function that operates as a combination of lean and agile with strong process guardrails. Set the long-range product vision, define what success looks like across active and passive safety, build and lead a senior product management organization, and drive the integration of agentic AI across the product development lifecycle to accelerate delivery velocity and customer outcomes.
About the role
At Humanetics, we put customers at the heart of everything we do. We deliver innovative connected products across active and passive safety, protecting humans in motion in critical environments.
We are hiring a Senior Director of Product Management to lead the next chapter of our software portfolio. This is a leadership-level role responsible for the full multi-product strategy across Digital Initiatives and training onboarding of product managers in other parts of the organization. The ideal candidate is a seasoned product leader who has scaled product organizations, owned portfolio-level outcomes, and has hands-on experience driving agentic AI adoption across the product development lifecycle. They will lead a team spanning associate to senior product managers and partner with engineering, DevSecOps, and design.
Objectives of this role
- Own the portfolio strategy, multi-year roadmap, and revenue plan across active and passive safety.
- Drive agentic AI integration across the SDLC — advancing Digital Initiatives from Assisted to Supervised Autonomous workflows.
- Define and deliver metrics to reframe investment from headcount efficiency to portfolio-level throughput, driven by the agentic AI transformation.
- Build and scale the product management function across a range of associate to senior product managers, and lead training and onboarding of product managers in other parts of the organization.
- Represent product leadership in board, customer, and analyst forums.
Responsibilities
- Define the multi-product portfolio strategy and translate executive priorities into roadmaps aligned across engineering, DevSecOps, design, GTM, and customer success.
- Lead and develop the PM team across a range of associate to senior product managers, driving growth, accountability, and execution excellence.
- Champion agentic AI in product workflows — from research and competitive analysis to PRD authoring, prototyping, and analytics — and codify role-based playbooks.
- Refine product operating standards for AI: Definition of Ready, PRD quality gates, reviewer matrices, feature catalogs, and post-launch reviews.
- Own the revenue plan across the solution portfolio, aligning roadmap investment with revenue commitments by product line in partnership with finance, sales, sales enablement, and marketing.
- Serve as the executive-level voice of the customer through customer councils and continuous VoC feedback loops.
- Partner with marketing on positioning, pricing, packaging, and competitive intelligence across the portfolio.
- Champion AI-fluency hiring and AI-augmented ways of working across product, engineering, and design.
Required skills and qualifications
- 15+ years of product management experience, including 7+ years managing other product managers.
- Demonstrated success owning a multi-product B2B SaaS or connected-software portfolio.
- Proven ability to translate customer and market insight into product investment that drives measurable revenue growth.
- AI tool fluency: hands-on use of AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot), AI-augmented prototyping (Figma Make, Vercel v0), and AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) across the PM workflow — sufficient to credibly lead an AI-fluent product-engineering partnership.
- Agentic AI experience: track record of bringing agentic AI practices (tool use, multi-step workflows, human-in-the-loop, supervised autonomy) into a product organization.
- Track record of defining and operating against measurable productivity and velocity metrics (e.g., story-points-based SDLC velocity, delivery velocity per engineering dollar).
- Experience building and owning revenue plans across a software portfolio, including translating roadmap investment into revenue commitments and partnering with finance and GTM on the operating plan.
- Proven ability to lead through influence at the C-suite and board level, including delivering executive-grade written and verbal communication.
- Proven success overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle across multiple product lines.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and executive-communication skills.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, product design, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or MS) is a plus.
- Prior experience in connected hardware/software platforms, industrial software, automotive, aerospace, or test-and-measurement domains.
- Industry familiarity with test certification labs or automotive proving grounds.
- Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., EU CRA, ISO 27001, TISAX, IEC 62443).
- Familiarity with build-vs-buy frameworks, partner-ecosystem management, and M&A diligence.
- Direct experience scaling a product organization through an inflection (e.g., post-acquisition integration, GTM expansion, or AI transformation).
