About the Opportunity-
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.

Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
-
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
-
Analyze financial information and investigate discrepancies.
-
Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and financial reporting.
-
Monitor cash balances and assist with cash flow forecasting.
-
Process banking transactions and maintain banking relationships.
-
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
-
Support treasury activities and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Prepare, file, and reconcile applicable sales, payroll, and other tax remittances.

Ensure compliance with federal, provincial/state, and local regulatory requirements.

Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Accounts & Financial Operations
-
Process recurring payments and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
-
Reconcile vendor and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
-
Support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple functional areas.

Maintain financial records within the organization's accounting system.
-
Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.

Recommend efficiencies to enhance financial reporting and internal controls.
About You-
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

2–3 years of progressive accounting experience.
-
CPA designation or enrollment in a professional accounting program is considered an asset.

Experience with bank reconciliations and tax compliance.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Experience working with accounting or ERP systems is an asset.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
