Base Locations: Prince George, Kamloops/Vernon, Cranbrook, & Lower Mainland.
K2 Electric is currently seeking experienced BC Hydro PSSP CAT 5 Qualified Electrical Workers (QEW) to support ongoing BC Hydro projects throughout British Columbia. This position is primarily focused on providing electrical safety support, safety watch, and qualified worker coverage on energized utility sites while working alongside our construction crews, BC Hydro and third party clients.

Responsibilities
- Perform duties as a CAT 5 Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) in accordance with BC Hydro Safe Work Practices.
- Provide safety watch support for construction, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain worker protection boundaries and ensure compliance with BC Hydro safety procedures and Safety Protection Guarantees.
- Support crews and third party clients working within energized substations, generating stations, and other utility environments.
- Complete required documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors, crews, and BC Hydro representatives.
- Promote a strong safety culture and actively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification.
- Current BC Hydro CAT 5 Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) certification.
- Experience working on BC Hydro or comparable utility projects.
- Thorough understanding of BC Hydro safety rules, work practices, and worker protection procedures.
- Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork.
- First Aid Certifications are considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
