Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working flooring & tiling helper to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in flooring, tiling, carpentry, or other renovation trades who is looking to build a long-term career. The position requires someone who is physically fit, punctual, efficient, detail-oriented, and flexible with work hours. You must be comfortable working evenings, weekends, and extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist installers with flooring and tiling preparation and installation
- Perform floor and tile demolition, including removal of old flooring and underlayment
- Use hand and power tools such as Jackhammers, Circular and oscillating saws, Nail guns, Heat guns, Pry bars and carpet tools, Grinders, mixers, and compressors
- Remove and reinstall baseboards, trims, and moldings
- Pick up and deliver materials to job sites using the company van
- Load, unload, and handbomb flooring and tiling materials
- Mix and apply adhesives, skim coats, and self-leveling compounds
- Perform garbage and debris disposal, including moving materials to bins or dump locations
- Perform cleanup at job site throughout each project
- Work quickly, carefully and efficiently
Requirements:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid open work permit)
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in flooring, tiling, carpentry, or renovation trades
- Comfortable using power tools and performing physical labor
- Physically fit and capable of lifting/carrying materials
- Dependable, punctual, and follows instructions
- Willing to travel to job site within Metro Vancouver
- Willing to travel for out-of-town jobs across BC (travel expenses covered)
- Be available for night shift, weekends and extended workdays
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Hours: 30–40 hours per week (Monday to Sunday, depending on project schedule)
- Wage: Starting at $18.25 per hour
