The Clayfield is a new 102-room luxury boutique hotel opening in Niagara-on-the-Lake and part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The hotel will deliver a highly personalized, refined guest experience grounded in calm luxury, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of place, with dining and gathering playing a central role in that vision.
The Clayfield has partnered with Ascari Hospitality Group for all food & beverage operations including Terrain Restaurant, lobby lounge, Terrace, in-room dining, banquets, and off-site catering.

Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and skilled Line Cooks to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items with precision, ensuring high-quality food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills, work in a collaborative setting, and contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure safe handling of all ingredients
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving to guests
- Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving, food handling, and meal preparation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, kitchen, or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed

Pay: $19.50-$22.50 per hour
