Responsibilities
- Removal and Installation of: cabinets, and countertops, steel and wood doors/frames and hardware, small and large appliances (microwaves, fridges)
- Removal and reinsulate and panel interior walls
- Cut panels to size
- Cut out rough openings for outlets, waterlines, etc.
- Accurately cut, measure, and shape various materials as required
- Recognize and identify quality issues in material and building procedures
- Set up and operate woodworking equipment
- Erect walls and roof systems
- Attach previously fabricated walls ceilings and floors together
- Measure and mark surfaces to be covered
- Removal and Installation of sheeting materials including subfloors, wall sheeting and roofing using various materials
- Removal and Installation of framing and sheeting materials with air tools, hand tools and glues
- Removal and Installation flooring materials using adhesive, rollers and other hand tools
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- A strong commitment to safety and a safety leader
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications and work from sketches
- Proficient and able to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials required of the trade
- Skilled in the residential construction, repair, restoration and installation techniques for assigned work projects
- Carpentry experience in modular construction considered an asset
- Ability to work in a physical demanding position and a fast paced team environment
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
- Experience with crane and rigging operations an asset
- Position requires vehicle to drive to an from Nisku on a daily basis
- Position requires strong English communication skills, including written, spoken and comprehension
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
