Clinic Support Team
Location: Remote (British Columbia)
Background:
Euclid Telehealth is currently looking for a Clinic Support Team member with a passion for customer service in healthcare, be able to provide an exceptional patient experience, and has an enjoyment of technology, to provide patients with a caring experience about their ocular health. The Client Support Team’s tasks and responsibilities are focused on the patient’s post-assessment process in a way that embodies the values of patient care excellence and teamwork, while achieving business objectives.

At Euclid Telehealth, we focus on eye disease screening for the leading causes of vision loss and blindness, such as: glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and others. Our Mission is to provide ocular health screening to everyone and ultimately eliminate preventable vision loss and blindness through the early detection of eye disease, by providing expert Ophthalmic care in a convenient, modern way.
1. Clinic Support Team - Tasks and responsibilities
Your responsibilities as Clinic Support Team will include, inter alia:
- Providing superior patient care and customer service, including ensuring seamless appointment bookings.
- Clinical Process – Post - Assessment
- Create/Fax Consultation Report to referring physician.
- Create/Fax Consultation Referral Request if applicable and call the patient to inform them of the referral.
- Create/Email Consultation Report to patients using standard email protocols.
- Assist patients in accessing consultation reports, prescriptions, and address any related inquiries.
- Make telephone calls to patients to schedule their next appointments, including handling calls and Telemedicine appointments. Setting up Telemedicine confirmations, as well as other communication channels (SMS/Email).
- When needed, FAX Rx to patient’s preferred pharmacy and enter Pharmacy contact information in the Pharmacy database in EyeVu (EMR)
- Email the Ophthalmologist for clarity, more information, as needed.
- Follow up on referrals as required.
- Obtain and verify missing patient information such as medical history and provincial health numbers (PHN).
- Review and prepare “Unable to Reach” or “Declined” letters for patients.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to voicemail messages, and direct calls to appropriate staff when necessary.
- Supports Patient Support Team as directed.
- Operate office equipment such as EyeVu (EMR), voice mail messaging systems (3CX), and use word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications to prepare letters, etc.
- Participate in weekly Euclid Team Huddle and Medical Review Meetings on a regular basis.
- Provide support to other Clinic Support Team members as required to maintain smooth operations and effective teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned.

What your background is:
- Demonstrated excellent customer/patient service.
- 2+ years of experience, ideally healthcare industry, or other patient care setting.
- Experience in an ophthalmological or optometric setting is valuable but not required.
- Experience in creating and faxing Consultation Reports
- High School Graduate, Office Administration Certificate an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Legally able to work in Canada.
