We are a small, customer-focused optical boutique dedicated to personalized care and quality eyewear. We are seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant & Inventory Specialist to join our team in a hybrid role that blends customer service with inventory management.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will provide exceptional service to customers as you guide them in selecting frames, while also overseeing inventory, stock organization, and daily store operations. You will ensure the store is clean and organized, follow up on lab jobs, and handle direct billing through the TELUS portal.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist customers in selecting eyewear frames that suit their style and vision needs.
* Enter new frames into inventory, maintaining accurate stock counts.
* Monitor inventory daily, ensuring all stock is organized and updated.
* Perform end-of-day cleaning protocols: vacuuming, organizing displays, and preparing the store for the next day.
* Check and follow up on lab jobs to ensure all and orders are on track.
* Handle closing procedures, ensuring financials and stock are balanced.
* Utilize the TELUS portal for direct billing and customer transactions.
Qualifications:
* Prior experience in an optical or retail setting is preferred.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication.- Proficiency with inventory systems; familiarity with TELUS billing is a plus.
