Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with strong skills in food handling, sanitation, and cash handling. Duties
- Prepare and assemble deli items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their selections, and answering questions.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food preparation surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure product freshness throughout the shift.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all items served.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks during busy periods while maintaining high service standards.
- Assist in training new team members on food preparation, and safety protocols.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or the food industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and good communication abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
