Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Server to join our team in providing exceptional guest experiences during morning hours. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food service environments. This role involves taking orders, serving breakfast items, and ensuring guests enjoy a welcoming and efficient dining experience. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. The Breakfast Server plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area while delivering prompt and courteous service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their breakfast experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and processing
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, following proper food handling protocols
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy breakfast hours
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure a positive dining experience
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations to uphold high standards of food safety and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred, especially in breakfast or hospitality settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
