Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial or construction environments and possess the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. The Electrician will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within our facilities and projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes
- Read and interpret technical drawings including schematics and construction plans
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment to complete installations and repairs
- Work on low voltage systems
- Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovation projects to ensure seamless electrical integration
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics
- Experience as an commercial electrician or in construction environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage wiring and Fitre alarm system wiring.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as pliers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and multimeters; familiarity with power tools is a plus
- Ability to read technical schematics and construction drawings accurately
- Hands-on experience with renovation projects involving existing electrical systems
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical work and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Handyman experience is advantageous for versatile troubleshooting and repair tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
