Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Laborer to join our team. This role is vital to supporting various operational activities across our projects. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a dynamic work environment. Prior experience in manual labor or construction is a plus but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills and grow within the company.
Responsibilities
· Assist welders, fabricators, and fitters with material handling and job setup.
· Load, unload, and move raw materials, parts, and finished components within the shop.
· Prepare materials for fabrication, including deburring, grinding, cleaning, and basic cutting as required.
· Prepare fabricated parts for paint, including cleaning, masking, and surface prep to meet coating requirements.
· Apply paint and coatings to finished products as required, ensuring proper coverage, finish quality, and adherence to company standards.
· Stage parts and materials for work orders and production jobs.
Shop Maintenance & Housekeeping:
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
· Dispose of scrap material and waste according to company procedures.
· Perform basic shop maintenance tasks as assigned.
· Ensure walkways, work areas, and exits remain clear and safe.
Equipment & Tools:
· Operate basic shop tools and equipment safely (grinders, saws, pallet jacks, etc.).
· Assist with the setup and teardown of job fixtures and workstations.
· Report damaged tools, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervision.
Safety & Compliance:
· Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
· Wear required PPE at all times while in the shop.
· Support and participate in safety meetings and training as required.
Other Duties:
· Assist with loading finished goods for shipment when required.
· Support inventory handling and material organization as needed.
· Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and teamwork
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as needed

Pay: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
