Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter’s Helper to become an integral part of our team. With Cressey’s dedication to quality top of mind, this role plays a vital part in maintaining the high standards of our properties, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for our tenants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with framing, measuring, cutting, and installation tasks.
- Prepare and maintain job sites, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Assist in demolition, cleanup, and material disposal.
- Follow instructions to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials and supplies between job sites as needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety regulations.
- Assisting with balcony repairs and general construction work
- Digging and fence installation
- Assembling and moving scaffolding
- Drilling concrete
- Material handling and site cleanup
- Assisting carpenters and maintenance crew on various projects
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of tools and construction techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Great communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction well.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the construction field.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in various environments and weather conditions.
- Exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and confined spaces.
- Use of protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and masks may be required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
