Role and Context
The licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Maintenance (AME-M) performs inspections, repairs, and mechanical adjustments required to ensure aircraft airworthiness. The incumbent follows technical instructions and strict regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled mechanical inspections in accordance with the maintenance program
- Carry out repairs and component replacements
- Document completed work in accordance with current procedures
- Apply relevant service bulletins and airworthiness directives
- Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Work closely with other technicians and supervisors
- Maintain up-to-date technical and regulatory knowledge
- Properly use hand tools and specialized equipment
- Contribute to the company’s safety culture
Core Competencies
Position Requirements
- AME licence - Category M2
- Relevant aircraft maintenance experience
- Knowledge of standard maintenance procedures and technical documentation
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow safety protocols
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manufacturer manuals
- Safe operation of heavy equipment and specialized tools
- Ability to work online aircraft or in a hangar environment
- Fluency in French is required for this position. In addition, strong English proficiency is required in order to interact with English-speaking clients in Canada and internationally.

About WAAS
WAAS Aerospace Inc. is a Transport Canada–approved maintenance organization (AMO), operating since 2014. We operate from facilities in Saint-Hubert (YHU) and Québec City (YQB). We provide line and scheduled maintenance, avionics modifications, R&D, and 24/7 AOG support to help our clients minimize downtime and meet their operational constraints. Our parent company, Chrono Aviation, was founded in Québec City in 2012. Today, the group operates a fleet of 12 aircraft with a team of approximately 200 employees.
