Jones Feed Mills is a family-owned and operated feed manufacturing mill that produces high quality feeds for livestock producers throughout Ontario. Currently we have an opening for a full-time Monogastric Nutritionist at our Linwood location.

Responsibilities include:
· Managing all “Jones“ branded programs pertaining to monogastric species, including formulation, labelling, education and training on how to apply the program.
· Assist in maintaining QC databases for ingredients and additives. Includes sampling and analyzing lab results.
· Support compliance with all poultry and swine programs (organic, RWA, ABF), and CFIA, GMP and HACCP requirements.
· Provide support and training to sales staff, office staff and customers on how to apply Jones programs at a production level. Including
o literature for Branded programs,
o ration balancing for producers
o on farm support and phone, emails, etc.
· Train sales and office staff on new products and programs
· Update on supplier products, nutritional developments, and their supplier level application.
· Ensure “Jones” branded programs are meeting the needs of the marketplace.
· Work with sales staff to identify and develop new “Jones” branded products.
· Troubleshooting problem products in a timely fashion with QC team.
· Collaborate for assessments and provide recommendations.
· Meet with supplier representatives to evaluate potential use of their products.
· Coordinate with sales to determine information/messaging to be included in promotional materials. Includes writing articles of interest for newsletters and other media.
· Ensure that tags and CFIA regulations are adhered to for all “Jones” branded products and customized products.
· Represent Jones Feed Mills Ltd at industry functions and meetings
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry representatives and veterinary staff.
· Other Tasks include:
· Basic Nutritional Support for all species; answering basic nutritional questions, responding to queries regarding species other than ruminants.
· Engage with potential and key customers, make recommendations and actively sell Jones Nutritional Programs.
· Maintain a current knowledge of current research and developments with the nutrition field.
Required Education:
· a minimum of MSc. Degree in Poultry or Swine Nutrition and/or equivalent work experience.
· Experience with BestMix formulation and QC software an asset.

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
