The Project Controls Engineer - Advanced has competency in all Cost / Planning & Scheduling / Project Controls / Benchmarking Engineering areas and experience in Contracting and Execution Planning. In addition to technical ability, you should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills utilizing experience from prior roles. The job role is a member of the project team. This job role conveys the generic experience and skills of a mid career individual.
Project Controls Implementation
- Implement and oversee project controls processes to ensure compliance with corporate standards and expectations
- Support the setup of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in collaboration with the Finance team
Cost & Schedule Management
- Conduct detailed cost and schedule analysis, including reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and change management activities
- Track, analyze, and forecast cost and schedule data, including project staffing costs and expenditures across Capital, Expense, and OPEX accounts
- Monitor purchase orders and subcontracts for accurate cost tracking and forecasting
Contractor Interface & Oversight
- Interpret cost and schedule control estimates for EPC contractors and ensure alignment with project objectives
- Obtain and review cost and schedule data from EPC contractors, performing independent monitoring to identify potential issues and drive corrective actions
- Review bidder lists, bid tabulations, and proposed changes to EPC contracts and agreements for approval or rejection
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and deliver monthly stewardship reports, including cost, schedule, progress highlights, and expenditure profiles
- Communicate cost and schedule information to affiliates and respond to related inquiries
- Support project close-out activities and ensure completion of final reporting requirements
Capital Efficiency & Risk Management
- Identify and promote opportunities for capital efficiency and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle
