Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and passionate Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, customer service, and retail sales. This role involves designing beautiful floral displays for various occasions, providing exceptional service to customers, and managing inventory effectively. A love for plants and plant care is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create stunning floral arrangements for events, weddings, and everyday occasions based on customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with their floral needs and offering expert advice on plant selection and care.
- Manage retail sales by processing transactions accurately, including cash handling and e-commerce orders.
- Maintain an organized workspace and ensure that all floral products are fresh and well-displayed.
- Collaborate with team members to develop promotional displays and marketing strategies to enhance sales.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and tracking stock levels.
- Stay updated on floral design trends and techniques to continually improve skills and offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in floral design or a related field is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in retail sales, including cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must have a valid/clean driver’s license
- very comfortable driving and parking in tight spaces
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and be on your feet all day
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak seasons.
