Job description:
We are seeking an organized, professional, and detail-oriented School Office Administrator to join our school community. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the school office while managing student records and administrative processes with accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate student records, including enrollment, attendance, grades, transcripts, and assessment data.
- Manage student schedules, registrations, transfers, and withdrawals.
- Ensure compliance with provincial regulations and confidentiality requirements related to record management.
- Provide administrative support to school leadership, staff, students, and families.
- Maintain office supplies, inventory, records, documentation, and filing systems, including confidential employee files.
- Assist with school communications, events, meetings, and day-to-day office operations.
- Collaborate with school staff to support student success, retention, and positive family engagement.
- Develop and implement procedures related to records management and office administration.
- Remain current with best practices, policies, and regulatory changes related to school administration and student information systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in school administration or student records management is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of provincial regulations related to student records and privacy requirements.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace for Education required; Experience with student information systems such as Edsembli or Veracross is an asset
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a collaborative team environment.
