Matrix HR is seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery of goods, tools, and equipment to various construction sites. When not driving, you will actively support warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. This position offers a dynamic work environment where strong driving skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service are essential.
Duties
While Driving:
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring that all items are secured and protected during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns during deliveries.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance on the delivery vehicle when necessary.
When Not Driving:
- Assist with loading/unloading vehicles and organizing warehouse inventory.
- Prepare orders for shipment or pickup, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Perform basic warehouse cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Support team members to help achieve daily operational goals.
Experience
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with Q endorsement (minimum) and a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate ½ ton to 5 ton trucks and tow trailers up to 34 feet.
- Comfortable operating both automatic and manual transmissions (including 10-speed).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages up to 150 lbs safely.
- Strong time management, communication skills, and a commitment to safety.
- Previous experience in driving and/or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
